Lazy days

That's right. I've been experiencing the worse case of lazyness ever. On my days off I just don't have the energy or the interest to go out or do much. I need to get out of this funk and get moving again. The good thing though, is that I am doing well at work, and things with Joseph are going well.

Ohhh... the pain

Did I mention that I joined a gym last week? That's right, once again I'll be making time to get in shape and feel better about myself. I love going to the gym and working out, it totally energyzes me and motivates me. Plus I love the way I look after a while.

The only thing is that at this moment I am immobile. That's right: i m m o b i l e . I took a body toning class on Thursday night, but the instructor focused only on legs and a little bit on abs. After I left the gym I was in so much pain, I considered calling my boss and telling him I couldn't come to work the next morning. But I didn't do that, instead I went to work yesterday and was miserable not being able to walk or move comfortably all day. I just thank God that today's my day off.

All in all I must admit...... I love the pain. Go figure.

Myweekly turns one

That's right, I started posting on myweekly a year ago today. Happy First Birthday to Myweekly!!

Although I don't post as often as I should would like to, I'm happy that I managed to keep it up for a full year. And that leaves me thinking.... what's next for myweekly? Maybe it's time to start moving away from the basic Blogger, and start getting a little more technical.

We'll see.

Sad day

My dad called this morning to tell me my uncle passed away yesterday. He had cancer and had gone back to Colombia a few weeks ago, after the doctors said there was nothing more to do for him. At least he spent his last days with his children and grandaughter.

I'll miss him.

About my sock exchange

Yes, I joined it again and I got the cutest socks ever! Thanks Tasha and Beej. I'll be sending yours out in the next couple of days. Sorry for the delay.

Some day off

So today was my day off, and I had planned a relaxing day with Joseph. We had the whole morning to watch a little tv, have breakfast and relax. Then we were going to Katie's basketball game at 2pm and after that to the movies (I was hoping to see "The Passion of Christ"). Then in the evening, a little Oscar, and some home cooking.

Yeah, that was the plan. Out of all that going to Katie's game was the only thing that worked out; except we were 1/2 hour late. The being late part was my fault because after breakfast I decided to do some house cleaning and took a phonecall from a co-worker, which left me rushing to get ready.

After the game, we went to Joseph's house to pick up the two complimentary tickets he had for us to go to the movies, and we found out one of his nephews had already taken them. No movies for us..... on top of that, we found out his mother fell and hurt her back.... ouch.

From there we decided to make our way back to my place at around 4pm. Suffice it to say, we walked in the door at my place at 8pm. Yes, what normally takes one hour, took us 4 tonight. Not only that, the conductor on the last train we were on was giving the wrong directions for shuttle bus transfers for the stations coming to my neighborhood. Crowds of people got off at Queens plaza expecting to catch the shuttle bus to the Astoria train, but there was no shuttle. The busses were waiting at a different station..... MTA screws up once again.

But we're finally home..... Home Sweet Home.

Some day off.

Is it spring yet?

I'm looking forward to spring already. I want to feel the warm air around me, and enjoy beautiful sunny days. I'm sure we'll have another snow storm before spring arrives, but all I can think about is shedding my coat and hat.

Come on spring!!

And I'm done

Yes, the deed is done. I am a US Citizen.... finally. I am very excited and proud. Joseph went with me to my swearing in and we went out to lunch afterward. It took a long time, which I didn't expect. My appointment was for 8am and finished at 11:45 am. There were approximately 150 people there that morning, but I felt like I was the most proud and most anxious.

Next.... my passport.

Congrats are in order

That's right. I went for my citizenship interview and it went so well, I couldn't even explain it. I already received my appointment to be sworn in. I am just thrilled.

Life is good.

It's good to be the Queen

Things are going well at work. So well that I'll be getting a promotion next month. I'm so excited. I've been given more responsabilities, which will translate into more money. Woohoo!

And with Valentine's Day coming up, I'm hoping to make good $$$.
